So we’re over half way through this semester now, it’s the start of week 8 and things are getting very busy in the welfare zone. This week is Finance Week – so look out for games going on during the days between 11 and 1pm, and the big event – ‘Free your Money day’ in Asylum on Friday 19th November. There are going to be loads of freebies being given out, food too, and above all we’re turning Christmassy and showing you how to celebrate Christmas with your friends and relatives without spending more than you’ve got! We’ll also be premiering the Sabb’s Come Dine with Us! video during the day, which should be entertaining to say the least (Watch out for TP’s tears).
The week is being followed by Women’s week, our women’s officer and the whole committee have got loads of plans coming up, so it’s definitely worth a look out for the events during the week. SHAG week is coming up next, plans are well underway and I’m hoping to have the exact plans in place in the next 2 weeks. Finishing off the semester we have Housing week, so as you can see the next few weeks are going to be mental. Please bear with me if I’m running around like a headless chicken, I’ve been planning some of these events since July, so I want them to go as well as possible.
We’re going to need volunteers for SHAG week and Housing weeks, so if you feel like coming down and volunteering please get in touch with me at s.morris@hull.ac.uk. Help will really be appreciated!
We’ve been putting warnings around about safety, and getting home safely, so please mind your mates after a night out, and book a taxi if you’re on your own!
I think that’s all for me now!
See you soon,
Suzie
